I used the directions listed on Mixes from the Heartland Packages and on the Mixes from the Heartland website to make each product in order to give an accurate in depth review of the Mixes from the Heartland products I received.
Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Potato Soup Mix Review – I made my Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Potato Soup by adding with 7 cups of milk with the dry mix, cooked it on medium heat for about 35 minutes, and I topped it with cheddar cheese. I let it sit for a few minutes to cool before trying it. I love potato soup. It is one of my dishes. I did notice a slight difference from the potato soup I am used to but Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Potato Soup was still creamy and delicious. It wasn’t too salty and the texture came out just right. My daughter seemed to like it as well. She is a picky eater and she shared my bowl with me. The cheese that the website suggested was a nice touch. The cheese and Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Potato Soup complimented each other nicely. This is a nice meal to serve your family on a cold day. Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Potato Soup Mix cost only $5.99 for a1.00 lbs package. This is pretty affordable considering these are specialty products since they are gluten free. You can view the nutrition facts of the Mixes from the Heartland's Potato Soup Mix here.
Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Cheeseburger Chowder Soup Mix Review – I made my Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Cheeseburger Chowder Soup by adding 2 lbs of ground beef I browned in a skillet, 3 cups of water, adding the dry mix, let it simmer for 35 minutes, and added some cheddar cheese. I let it sit for s few minutes to let it cool before trying it. I liked it. Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Cheeseburger Chowder almost had a hamburger helper appeal. I thought it was rich and very delicious. It seemed to have the right spices mixed in without one overpowering the other. My husband loved Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Cheeseburger Chowder. After he finished his bowl of soup he stole my bowl and ate it. This was a yummy treat. We enjoy soups and the Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Cheeseburger Chowder Soup tasted wonderful. This will be a good treat for people who can no longer eat regular cheeseburgers due to health issues. Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Cheeseburger Chowder Soup Mix cost only $5.99 for a1.00 lbs package. This is pretty affordable considering these are specialty products since they are gluten free. You can view the nutrition facts of the Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Cheeseburger Chowder Soup Mix here.
Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Italian Meat Pie Meal Mix Review – I made my Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Italian Meat Pie Meal by cooking ground beef I browned in a skillet, tomato sauce, and seasoning package together for 10 minutes. In a separate bowl I mixed flour mix, 1 beaten egg, 1/2 cup shortening or butter and 1 teaspoon vinegar to mix. I mixed the dough well. Rolled it out and cut out 4 inch circles. Then I placed 3 tablespoons of meet mixture in the middle of the dough circles and folded them in half. I presses the edges together with a fork then placed them on a greased cookies sheet to bake until the dough started to turn brown. I let it sit for s few minutes to let it cool before trying it. Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Italian Meat Pie Meal was different tasting but still good. I didn’t let a couple of the Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Italian Meat Pies bake long enough and the outer dough was still a little doughy. So when you bake these be careful and check each one before taking them all out of the oven to make sure they are completely done. Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Italian Meat Pie Meal still had a nice Italian flavor to them. I think these would also make good appetizers for parties. Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Italian Meat Pie Meal Mix cost only $6.99 for a 2.00 lbs package. This is pretty affordable considering these are specialty products since they are gluten free. You can view the nutrition facts of the Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Italian Meat Pie Meal Mix here.
Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Banana Bread Mix Review – I made my Mixes from the Heartland,s Gluten Free Banana Bread by blending together 6 bananas, ½ cup of butter, and 4 eggs. I added my dry mix and blended everything well. I poured my batter into a small baking pan I had because I didn’t have loaf pans. I baked for 1 hour and 20 minutes like it says to on the website. I let it sit for s few minutes to let it cool before trying it. Tasting Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Banana Bread I could tell a difference from other banana bread but it was still good. It tasted fresh like bananas. My daughter loved Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Banana Bread. She ate a piece and wanted seconds. Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Banana Bread really tastes great with a glass of milk. I think it would better if it had nuts in it but I didn’t have any. This was a nice treat. Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Banana Bread Mix cost only $5.99 for a 2.00 lbs package. This is pretty affordable considering these are specialty products since they are gluten free. You can view the nutrition facts of the Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Banana Bread Mix here.
Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Strawberry Angel Food Cake Mix Review – I made my Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Strawberry Angel Food Cake by beating 12 egg whites with the cream of tarter until tarter was stiff. I added 2/5 cups of sugar and mixed it well. I then mixed the dry mix in. I poured the batter into my small greased baking pan and bake it roughly for 45 minutes. I let it sit for s few minutes to let it cool before trying it. Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Strawberry Angel Food Cake tasted sweet and cake like! I could taste the strawberry in it but it wasn’t to over powering. I loved Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Strawberry Angel Food Cake. My daughter also loved Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Strawberry Angel Food Cake. She took a piece right out of my hand and ate it. My husband also ate it. Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Strawberry Angel Food Cake would taste really good with a fruit topping or glaze. I ate a piece with milk and it tasted awesome. Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Strawberry Angel Food Cake would make a nice dessert. Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Strawberry Angel Food Cake Mix cost only $5.99 for a 1.00 lbs package. This is pretty affordable considering these are specialty products since they are gluten free. You can view the nutrition facts of the Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Strawberry Angel Food Cake Mix here.
Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Apple Cinnamon Rice Pudding Mix Review – I made my Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Apple Cinnamon Rice Pudding by mixing 5 eggs, 5 cups of milk, putting it in my small greased baking pan, and baking for 45 minutes. I let it sit for s few minutes to let it cool before trying it. I have never eaten a rice pudding before. Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Apple Cinnamon Rice Pudding tasted cinnamon and sweet. It was pleasant and the texture was pleasant. The apples and raisins complimented it nicely. I was worried the rice might come out to hard but it didn’t. My daughter enjoyed Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Apple Cinnamon Rice Pudding as well. She ate most of the Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Apple Cinnamon Rice Pudding herself. I think this would be a great after school snack for a kid. Mixes from the Heartland's Gluten Free Apple Cinnamon Rice Pudding Mix cost only $5.99 for a 2.00 lbs package. This is pretty affordable considering these are specialty products since they are gluten free. I did not try out all 6 Mixes from the Heartland mixes in 1 day. I tried them out spread out over a week.
My favorite Mixes from the Heartland mixes from the 6 we tried were the Gluten Free Potato Soup Mix and the Gluten Free Strawberry Angel Food Cake Mix.
My husband said that his favorite Mixes from the Heartland mixes from the 6 we tried were the Gluten Free Cheeseburger Chowder Soup Mix and the Gluten Free Strawberry Angel Food Cake Mix.
My 2 year old daughter seemed to favor the Gluten Free Strawberry Angel Food Cake Mix and the Gluten Free Apple Cinnamon Rice Pudding Mix from Mixes from the Heartland.
