DaysAgo Digital Day Counter Review & Giveaway-(2 Winners)-(CLOSED)

"The award-winning DaysAgo Digital Day Counter helps time-crunched, on-the-go families monitor and organize their daily lives. As the winner of a Good Housekeeping “Good Buy Award,” the DaysAgo is the first digital day counter to answer the age-old question, “How many days ago did I open this?” The gadget has a digital screen that starts counting with just the touch of a button. By counting up days, the DaysAgo can help determine when food has been opened and needs to be used, or can track days between household chores -- from taking care of plants to giving family members their medications.

Kathleen Whitehurst, CEO and founder of double u products, originally designed the DaysAgo to help busy moms keep the food in refrigerators safe for their families. Now the DaysAgo has become a lifestyle product for which consumers themselves are always finding new uses.

The DaysAgo is available with a magnet to adhere to metal objects; a suction cup for those items that are not metal or are oddly shaped; or with two different sizes of bands. The large band can wrap around bigger items such as a bag of coffee beans or a carton or bottle of milk, which often needs to be consumed in seven to 10 days of being opened. The small band fits perfectly around such items as baby bottles, juice boxes, bottles of olive oil or wine, and medication.

In addition to offering families this unique household gadget, DaysAgo co-inventor Kathleen Whitehurst also offers a special Pink edition of the counter. A 10-year breast cancer survivor, Whitehurst is committed to supporting breast cancer awareness – and to encouraging women of all ages to get into the habit of doing regular self breast exams. The Pink DaysAgo comes with the suction so that women can put it on their vanity or bathroom mirrors and keep track of when it is time for their monthly self exams.
Whitehurst has partnered with Breast Cancer Network of Strength as part of her effort to promote early detection and self breast exams. Her company will be donating 10 percent of all sales from the Pink DaysAgo to provide emotional support to all those touched by breast cancer."

I was lucky to receive a pack of two digital day counter magnet attachments from DaysAgo. Before using this product I never thought about how long containers have been open for but this product really helps you remember. This is great for people like me who have a lot going on in their lives and forget a lot of small things like how long has the milk been open for. This product will help you keep track of what is still good or not. This can also help stop illnesses before that occur. As you can imagine as a mom that is important to me. These are small enough and out of the way that they are just perfect for small reminders while you work in the kitchen. This product is priced at $8.00.
DaysAgo also makes digital counter for bottles and for surfaces. Check our this picture. Imagine how easy it would be for parents to keep track of when baby bottles go bad. These are also priced at $8.00.

Overall I was pleased with this product. I would recommend this product to my friends and family. This can be used for many purposes and can be very helpful.

  1. They run on a battery that lasts around 18 months and can be replaced. These are a great idea and so reasonably priced! I'm now making all my family's food - I make yogurt, applesauce, flourless pancakes, etc. and these would be great for keeping track of when I made the items!

  10. What a good idea...especially for the food. I have finding old expired food in my fridge!

Another use they suggested that I like is to let you know when it's time to give your dog's heartworm meds or flea preventative.
