Here are Some Cheap Ways to Keep Warm this Winter

  1. Open up the blinds and let some light in your house.
  2. Use rugs instead of bare floors to make your feet warmer.
  3. Block drafts from coming in your home.
  4. Use space heaters because they are cheaper than a furnace.
  5. Bundle up.
  6. Install a programmable thermostat.
  7. Use an electric blanket.
  8. Change then furnace filter every month.
  9. Close unused rooms.
  10. Stay Active.
  11. Eat warm food and cook for yourself.

Great ideas - we find however leaving our blinds closed help with keeping the heat in, even during the daytime, this helps when you have "leaky" windows, because that cold air gets trapped between the window and the blind. And not only is remembering to change your furnace filter efficient, it also is safe!
