How do You Know if You are Addicted to Blogging

Some people refer to a blog as an online diary. It’s a way of sharing details of you life and venting online with millions of other people. Blogs can also be an instrumental device used to pass on important information to a certain group of individuals. Most people who have computers have a blog. Some people post everyday while some are lucky to post once a month. It is a convenient way of corresponding with other people on the internet.

I use a blog to connect with others and share information. I post reviews, giveaways, and recipes. I also share my photography from my Flickr account here. I enjoy blogging. I find it is useful tool and information resource.

Some people blog all the time about the smallest things. Some bloggers have become obsessed with putting their lives out their online in their blog entries. Some people will post as much as 10 to 15 entries a day on their blogs. They literally can not go a day without blogging and they have to blog about everything no matter how unimportant the subject may be. I call these people blog addicts.

The question most people ask is “how do you know if you are addicted to blogging?” Below is a list of ways I have put together to help you know if you are addicted to blogging. If you fit 3 or more of the ways I have listed then you can call yourself a blog addict!

You know you’re addicted to blogging when:

  1. The first thing you do in the morning is check your blog
  2. You are depressed because your monthly visitor ratio for your blog is down compared to the last month’s statistics.
  3. >You change your blog layout, color, and font a couple of times a week.
  4. You have convinced yourself that everything you do in your life is wo.
  5. rthy of a post even the mistakes you promise to never do again.
  6. You believe you can never have too many blogs!
  7. You answer surveys just to post on your blog.
  8. At the end of the day you can’t believe you have posted only 10 blogs for the day.
  9. You visit your blog a couple of times a day just to look at it.
  10. You blog about interesting news going on in the world today.
  11. All you want to do is blog instead of spending time with loved ones, taking a shower, eating, or cleaning.
  12. You think about your blog and what you are going to put on you blog when you are out with friends and family.
  13. You take time out of your day to Google your blog to see if anyone is talking about it online.
  14. You loath people for not at least visiting you blog after you took the trouble of inviting them.
  15. You check you blog at least 5 times a day for comments.
  16. You mention your blog and where to read it at least 5 times on MySpace, Facebook, and on other online profiles you might have.
  17. You feel guilty about not catching up with blogger friends and leaving comments.
  18. You get extremely happy when you get a new follower.
  19. You take your camera everywhere in hopes of getting a blog worthy photo.
  20. You wake up from a deep sleep in the middle of the night just to post then go back to bed.
  21. You either think your blog is totally brilliant or totally sucks.

Blogging can be a lot fun and entertaining. But don’t become so obsessed with blogging you forget to spend time with your family and take care of your hygiene habits. Even bloggers need to make sure they are taking care of themselves and living up to their daily responsibilities.

It is important for bloggers to know that to make a popular successful blog that it is not just about posting as many entries as possible on your blog. It is about the quality of the entries you post on your blog. You want to appeal to your readers. Quantity really does not matter if there is not quality. Happy blogging!
